How do you animate a mouse cursor to move naturally in DaVinci Resolve Fusion?

Animate the cursor's position along a curved B-spline path instead of straight point-to-point keyframes, then select the keyframes in Fusion's Spline editor and press S to apply ease-in/ease-out. Curved paths plus eased keyframes are the two things that make cursor motion read as human rather than mechanical.
Build the cursor as its own element first: import a cursor graphic with an alpha channel (a PNG, or a shape drawn with a mask) and Merge it over your screen footage or screenshot in the Fusion tab.
1. Drive position with a path, not linear keyframes. Keyframe the Merge or Transform node's Center for the cursor's start and end targets, then right-click the Center control and use Modify With to convert the motion to a path (XY Path / B-Spline). A curved B-spline path instead of a straight keyframe path is what makes the movement feel human and organic — nobody moves a mouse in a perfectly straight line. 2. Shape the curve between targets. Drag the path's points so the cursor travels in shallow arcs between click targets, with a slight curve into each destination rather than a dead-straight approach. Small deviations are the realism; keep them subtle.
3. Ease every move. Open the Spline editor, select the position keyframes, and press S — this applies an ease-in/ease-out curve so the cursor accelerates out of rest and decelerates into each target, the way real hand motion behaves. Unsmoothed linear keyframes are the single biggest tell of a fake cursor.
4. Vary the timing. Real cursor use isn't constant-speed: make long travels faster, short corrections slower, and hold the cursor still for a few frames at each click target before it moves again. Set these holds as flat keyframes on the path's displacement.
5. Sell the interaction. If a click spawns a UI element, animate its pop-in with the width and height keyframes offset by 1–2 frames and the same S-key easing — the offset makes the entry feel bouncy and organic rather than a mechanical scale-up.
